Expansion of Research and Development Capabilities 

Until the end of 2021, the company Compteq.io s.r.o., operating under the business name KONTRON ECT design s.r.o., implemented the project “Expansion of Research and Development Capabilities of KONTRON ECT design s.r.o.” The objective of the project was to expand the infrastructure for in-house research and development and to strengthen cooperation with research and development organizations. 

This project received financial support from the European Union. 

The purpose of the project, supported under the Operational Programme Enterprise and Innovation for Competitiveness (OP PIK), was to expand the company’s R&D center by acquiring machines, equipment, and other technological infrastructure, specifically: 

  • EMC chamber including EMI receiver and other necessary accessories 
  • Oscilloscope for compliance testing up to 25 GHz 
  • Fiber laser cutter 
  • Industrial 3D scanner 
  • CNC milling machine 
  • NC drilling and milling machine 
  • Manual sheet metal bender 

Thanks to this expanded R&D infrastructure, we are now able to offer the following services: 

EMCC Chamber (incl. EMI Receiver and Accessories): Electromagnetic Compatibility Testing of Electrical Equipment 

  • Electrostatic discharge resistance (ESD test) 
  • Immunity to high-frequency electromagnetic fields with various modulation types 
  • Immunity to fast transient bursts (EFT/Burst test) 
  • Surge immunity testing 
  • Conducted RF immunity 
  • Pre-certification measurements of radiated emissions

Fiber Laser Cutter: Metal cutting up to 2 mm thickness, max. cut area 1300 × 900 mm 

Industrial 3D Scanner: 

  • First Article Inspection (FAI): Comprehensive 3D inspection of mechanical parts 
  • Reverse Engineering: 3D digitization of mechanical components 

CNC Milling Machine: Milling of aluminum, steel, and plastic components 

NC Drilling and Milling Machine: 

Drilling and milling of aluminum, steel, and plastic parts 

Manual Sheet Metal Bender: Bending of simple plastic parts up to 3 mm thick 

This R&D infrastructure is also available to external users as a commercial service.
